It's Hard to Move On

The Beginning

I saw him on the field, he was standing diagonally from me. I would have had to be blind in order not to see him, and even then I would still know that he was there. The only way you didn't know if the great Lord Sesshomaru wasn't there was if he didn't want you know that he was there. That certainly wasn't the case at the moment. He didn't have any of his aura restrained like he usually did.

Sesshomaru I thought to myself, hoping that no one here was a mind reader. Hold back, and I'm going to kill you. I was walking beside my sister and wondering about what she said. It was true that I didn't know what we were fighting for, but I didn't care. I just wanted a reason to do something. I needed my mind off myself and onto something different. Something painful for someone else.

"Sesshomaru is all yours sister." Keyan said to me. I looked at her. Did she know? Her eyes showed me that she knew something she wasn't telling me. My sister had never ben one for telling everyone everything. That was how she did things, it was just her way.

"You know something and you're not telling me." I said to her. Keyan simply smiled at me. "What do you know?" I asked. She just let herself smile, but said noting. She was starting to grate on my last nerve. "Answer me." I ordered forcefully. I wasn't going to stand up to this anymore. She either was going to tell me everything that she knew, or else I was going to start a betrayl.

"Very well," Keyan said. "I know of your feelings for Sesshomaru. Sister, do you honestly think that he returns those feelings?" Keyan asked, the look in her red eyes was saying that I was stupid. I hated it when she gave me that look. I wanted to take my fingers and stab them through her eyes. At this point, I was very tempted to.

"I never expect him too." I answered. "If you think that it's going to interfere with my performance, then you think wrong." I growled at her. Keyan glared at me after I growled. I knew that I was in for it, but I didn't care. She grabbed my arm and squeezed as hard as she could. I could feel the pain and the blood that was starting to ooze slowly down my arm, picking up speed as gravity did it's work.

"If you ever speak to me like that again then I wil be forced to remove you from this battle. Do you understand me?" Keyan asked me. Her fire red eyes were harsh and they seemed as if they'd scorch anything with just a glance. I smiled at her, knowing what she meant, and knowing that I didn't give a damn.

"Be my guest." I said in a voice that caught her offguard. "If you do then one of those nitwits will have to take my place. Are you willing to do put a person weaker than me into this? If you are, you are more of an idiot than I am." I said. My sister had just broken the last nerve I had left. I knew that soon enough my sister would let go, but I didn't even notice the pain anymore. "Remove your claws from my arm or else you're going to regret makeing my your right hand. Do you understand, sister?" I asked, sinking down to her level to put my eyes with her eyes. She'd never seen me like this, and truthfully, neither had I. I felt full of power, but I knew that it wouldn't last long.

Keyan removed her claws from my arm and flicked the blood off of them. She knew that I wasn't kidding around and that I would kill her. She was the same sister I knew, but I had changed. We continued our walk towards the others that we had stopped when Keyan had grabbed my arm. I didn't even bother to wipe the blood from my exposed arm. I didn't care. If had the arms of my chain mail then I would have no cuts in my arm, they'd been cut off so that I could move more freely. I knew that eventually I was going to take off the breastplate, it was a pain.

"We are now at war!" Keyan yelled to the troops. "We attack, now!" The troops roared with excitement. I didn't understand why they were so excited. In the end they were going to die. After all, Keyan had said it herself, this was a war between Heaven and Hell. We were on the Hell side.

Heaven and Hell had ben influencing many things as the centuries went by. This world was supposed to be free of that influence, but alas, it wasn't. Was anything ever free from influence? That'd be a flat out no.

The troops surged forward and left Keyan and I behind. We were in our own battle, with each other. We were both debating on whether we should kill the other or not. We were so far into our debate that we almost didn't notice as Jori and Sesshomaru made their way towards us. Swords were drawn, and they looked ready to go to any lengths to kill us. I'm sure that they were. I didn't put it past them. Especially Sesshomaru.

"Keyan, we settle this now." Jori said as he lifted his sword up to point it at Keyan. His sword was just the opposite of Keyan's. Instead of the black and sucking in light, it was white and seemed to give off light. Strange swords. Keyan left our little battle and focused on the bigger one.

"How long I've waited!" Keyan said happily. "We finally get to settle this enternity long fued." As Keyan went on and on about stupid stuff Sesshomaru and I stared at each other.

"You'd better not hold back." Sesshomaru said to me in a cold voice that he was so accustomed to speaking in.

"Same goes for you, Lord Sesshomaru." I said, using his title. It was something that I never did. I thought I saw a smirk before he attacked me, it vanished faster than it had appeared, so I couldn't be sure. I blocked his sword with my wrist blades. This is going to be fun. I thought as I pushed him away from me and then started my own assult.
