It's Hard to Move On

Battles

Sesshomaru deflected each blow that Seiko threw at him. He wasn't the worlds best swordsmen for nothing. He could predict where she would attack next easily enough. He knew that Seiko could never be a match for him. He was too powerful. Even so he let her seem to have the upper hand in the battle. He decided to make the battle more interesting and let Seiko have the opening she had been looking for.

Seiko saw the opening and almost went for it, then she thought better of it. If it wasn't an opening she created, then she wasn't going for it. It was sure to be a trap. She couldn't afford to get caught in one.

He almost smiled when he saw that Seiko didn't go for the opening he'd left her. If she had, he'd of killed her in an insant. They battled it out with each other. Neither of them tiring, yet.

Jori threw his sword up just in time to block Keyan's blade. He'd stumbled over something and been thrown off balance. In that breif second, Keyan attacked and tried to deal a killing blow. She'd failed. As he held her blade off of his flesh he looked over his shoulder to see what he'd stumbled over. His eyes widened when he saw it his eyes widened. Zoin was lying on the ground, his purples eyes were glazed over and lifeless. A little ways away was another dead body, this one belonging to one of Keyan's. It was Daylen. His eyes held the same look. Glazed and lifeless.

"If you keep looking at the dead then then living will put you with them." Keyan advised, then threw his sword away from hers and tried to strike him again. Jori ducked and kicked Keyan in her stomach, hard. Keyan stumbled back a few steps, giving Jori enough time to ready himself and attack her again. Keyan and Jori kept giving and taking ground from the other, only landing small hits on one another.

All around Keyan and Jori their comrades were falling. The only people left alive that were of rank were Keyan, Jori, Sesshomaru, and Seiko. All the others were dead, or dying. There was no hope for them. People were dying and soon enough the battle ground was just dead bodies and blood.

Seiko dodged a slash from Sesshomaru's sword, but felt his whip connect with the soft flesh of her leg. She winced form the pain, closing an eye in responce and moved out of his range. He had the upper hand, it hadn't been the first time that he'd gotten her with his whip. There were several spots in her vision where it was all black. His poison was getting to her.

"You're not going to win." Sesshomaru stated in a voice colder than ice. Seiko's eyes widened as she watched him come closer and closer to her. Seiko knew she didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. She was dead. Killed by the person she loved. How ironic... Seiko thought. Killed by the person that stole my heart away. I should have told him not to break it. Or make it stop beating... Seiko smiled at her stupidity.

Sesshomaru didn't care about anything at this point. She'd sealed her fate when she hadn't backed down from the offer that Keyan had made her. He knew that she wouldn't of. They were sisters and siblings stuck together, or at least these two did. He was drawing closer and closer to her. Seiko managed to stand. She put her destroyed wrist blades up to defend herself as best they could. Sesshomaru knocked them aside with a swipe of his sword.

Seiko knew he was going to do that, and waited for a swift death to come. She was tired, poisoned, and injured. Instead of the death she'd been expecting Sesshomaru grabbed her hair at the back of her head and tilted her head back. He took her lips with his own. Seiko was tense, then relaxed.

Pain shot up from her chest and Sesshomaru pulled away from her. Seiko looked down and there was his sword. Plunging it's sharpness into her chest, and protruding from her back. Seiko felt blood fall from her mouth and she smiled at him.

The look on his face hadn't changed in the least.

"Love..hurts..." Seiko muttered with her last breath. Sesshomaru pulled his sword from her chest and let her fall to the ground. She had died with a smile on her face. She looked like she was just sleeping, but she was dead. Sesshomaru knew what she meant the second she said it. He didn't care.

"AAAAARGGGG!" Keyan yelled when she saw that her sister was dead. Tears started falling from her eyes. "YOU BASTARD!" Keyan tosesd Jori aside like a rag doll and headed straight for Sesshomaru. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" Keyan down slashed from above and Sesshomaru dodged it instead of blocking it. Keyan knealt down and lifted her sister's head off the ground, she saw the smile, but Keyan knew that it was a pained smile. "You..." Keyan whispered almost inaudibly. "You killed her."

Sesshomaru said nothing, Jori was coming, his sword ready and poised to strike. Keyan stared at her sister. She'd finally found her peace in death. Keyan looked up to Sesshomaru with tears streaming down her cheeks. He knew that Keyan knew Seiko had loved him, but he didn't care. In his mind she was gone, and never to be seen again.

Keyan's eyes went wide when she felt the blade in her throat. Jori's eyes were in a similar state when Sesshomaru stabbed him through the head. Both agents fell to the ground and disappeared. Keyan left the world in a large black flame, and Jori left in a flash of pure white light. The agents from Heaven and Hell were dead, and never to be seen in this world again. As it should of been from the beginning.

Sesshomaru looked at the battle field one last time. He was the last one left. He turned and left it without a second thought. It was put behind him. With that the age of demons came to a bloody close. There were few left, scattered all over the world. They'd left their marks on history, and now it was time for them to be forgotten in time, or for them to move with the times and live among the humans.

Sesshomaru wandered and watched as civilizations grew more advanced. He started and developed his own company. It dealt in finding things from the age in which he lived and belonged to. He changed his appearance and pretended to age as he lived. When one alias died then he'd go and come back as that man's son. Everytime the stupid humans fell for it. He lived quietly and peacfully in his new life, content to find things of his that he'd left alone for so long. He knew that he couldn't repent for the many wrongs that he'd done, but he had a long time on his hands, and a lot could happen. Many things did, including Seiko's return.

Author's Comments

The. Last. Chapter. Holy. Damn. FINALLY.

Yeah, imagine all the fun I'm going to have posting the rest. Heh. NOT FUN.

Anyways, I hope that you have enjoyed reading this fanfiction that I wrote to get me through my depression. This was the story to work on when I felt sad or upset, but I think you probably guessed that 'cause the ending is so sad. Of course it's noting compared to the others that I've written. <.<''

There are still to italics and all that added in. Still too lazy to do it. =D
